The lab is well equipped with ground and aerial robotics platforms, advanced sensors, motion camera systems and 3D printers.The center has been publishing in top international conferences like ICRA, IROS, IJCAI and AAMAS. To this end, we strive to advance the frontiers of robotics research in the areas of dynamics and control, robotic vision, navigation, UAV design and control, Multi Robotic Systems, AI and learning.
We Are Hiring – Research Assistant (Robotics)
The Robotics Research Center (RRC), IIIT Hyderabad is inviting applications for a
Research Assistant position in Robotics focused on:
- Dual-manipulator grasp generation
- Motion planning & control algorithm development
- Simulation-to-real transfer and experimental validation
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work with simulation tools (Gazebo / Isaac Sim / Mujoco, ROS/ROS2)
- Develop and validate planning & control algorithms
- Design experimental robotic systems (sensors, actuators, control)
- Collaborate on system integration and real-world testing
- Contribute to publications and research dissemination
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / CSE or related fields
- Strong background in Robotics, Kinematics, Dynamics, Mechatronics
- Programming: Python, C++
- Experience with ROS/ROS2 and simulation environments
- Experience in perception and planning algorithms
Position Details
- Start: Flexible (May/June 2026 preferred)
- Duration: 1 Year (On-campus)
